Game made for 20 Second Game Jam 2023.

Play as a swordsman who found himself in dangerous situation surrounded by many enemies who are shooting at him. If you can´t kill every one of them in 20 seconds reinforcments will come and you are lost. Dash through their bodies, deflect bullets back to sender and move in high speed all in slow motion footage.

Controls:

  • W, A, S, D - movement
  • LMB - dash (is used on enemy in range)
  • RMB - slash (is used in direction player is heading)

Gameplay:

  • One hit from a bullet results in death (for enemies too).
  • Bullets can be deflectet with slash (RMB).
  • Enemies can be killed with slash (RMB) or dash (LMB).
  • Slash is used in the direction character is heading.
  • Dash is used on the clicked target which has to be in range.
  • If slash is missed, then player is slowed down for a short time.
  • Shielded enemies are unkillable from the direction of shiel, indicated by a red cone.

Notes:

Because of the lack of free time the game has no music implemented. If anyone is in need to create soundtrack or VFX for this game, then I will gladly implement it and mention the aouthor in the credits both here on itch and in game.

And maybe I will sometime continue on this project by implementing record of the battle in "real time", which will be shown after the play.

Game is winnable. Maybe not every time due to the randomness, but it is.

Congratulations with a finished game!
Why I start the game and the bullet already fly to me to make me dead?
Maybe you have to give player more time to become familiar with the controls.
Highscore at the end would be nice too.
Seems like dash isn't working. Lack of sound effects to juice things up.

Thanks!

And thanks for the comment. Maybe I made this game a little bit too hard. But I have something like tutorial in mind, which I can implement later, but not now, I don´t have much time.

Can I ask you, how exactly dash does not work? I didn´t found any bug like that when I was testing it.

Now I think it's not a bug but misunderstanding on how it actualy work. If you see a dash option in games you think it's a movement option and always available, but here we have a twist on that

Ooh, maybe I should include how it works in controls section, so everyone can immediately see it.

Thanks for telling me that.
